Tommy's is a True Hutt Valley Success Story
After my last column where I was extolling the many virtues of Upper Hutt I have to confess to being very happy with all things real estate and the property market in general especially with Spring arriving and the imminent extended daylight savings just around the corner. I rather hoped anyone reading it would be feeling as confident as I am. Since then a number of finance companies have been put into receivership. It appears that the effect of the first couple of finance companies going into receivership has affected further finance companies rate of reinvestments and trying to get new investors joining them.
This is not dissimilar to what has been happening to the property market nationally, one doomsayer telling us bad news, negative media stories follow and combined with the usual winter slowdown more bad news is banded around. In my opinion (ok I’m a little biased) this simply isn’t necessary or warranted in the vibrant and consistent local Upper Hutt marketplace.
On an entirely different note, you may have seen myself and my Tommys colleagues at the Trentham City mall a couple of weeks ago. We were in the process of proving that there CAN be such a thing as a free lunch.
We were there to thank the Upper Hutt residents for supporting us for the last 7 years and helping us to turn Tommys into a true Hutt Valley success story.
The premise was simple we asked people to fill in a form that was to go into a draw and out of that some lucky winner would get $2000 of travel vouchers. A huge congratulations to Sue Fluerty who was the eventual winner. My word estate agents giving money away, who would have thought that would ever happen!
