The best-selling months are coming
With the holiday season behind us there will be a number of home owners looking to take advantage of an active real estate market over the coming months. Historically, January, February and March have been some of the best-selling months for residential real estate and we see no reason why this year will be any different.
The start of the year is a time when there is usually an influx of buyers coming to the Greater Wellington Region, including Upper Hutt, to enhance their employment and educational opportunities.
In addition, the stability of interest rates and the Reserve Bank’s announcement late last year that there will be some relaxing of the Loan to Value Ratios (LVR’s) will encourage first home buyers. Adding to the buyer pool are families who have made plans over Christmas to upgrade and those whose New Year resolutions include re-housing plans. It’s what I refer to as New Year, new home syndrome.
The year 2019 marks the 20th year since Tommy’s commenced business in the Wellington region. Many of our original sales and administration team remain with our company and with the addition of a number of new and enthusiastic sales people we will continue to offer the best possible level of service to our clientele. We have a number of new listings coming to the market in January/February and we invite both home buyers and sellers to call our sales team for service and satisfaction.
